Why contact details can't be shared in chat

For brands and creators1 min read

Phone numbers, emails and other contact details can't be sent in chat before an order starts. The rule keeps the agreement on PushBrands, where the pool protects both sides.

In short
  • Messages with contact details aren't sent; you see a warning instead.
  • Payments made outside PushBrands aren't protected by the pool.
  • Once an order starts, the shipping address and courier phone can be shared.

Why the rule exists

The pool only protects money that is paid on PushBrands. If a deal moves to WhatsApp or a bank transfer, a brand who never gets the video can't get the money back, and a creator who delivered can't be sure of being paid. Keeping the conversation in the chat also gives the team the full history if there's ever a disagreement.

What is blocked

  • Phone numbers, including numbers written out in words or split with spaces and symbols.
  • Email addresses, including forms like name [at] domain.

When a message contains contact details, it isn't sent and you see a warning in the chat. Rewrite the message without them.

What is allowed after an order starts

The shipping address with a phone number for the courier, as part of the address in the order. Other contact details stay blocked.

Campaigns

A campaign brief with contact details is sent to the team for review before invites go out, and campaign announcements that contain contact details are rejected.
